Our client is a Commercial Construction General Contracting firm headquartered in north San Diego specializing in a variety of commercial construction projects. They pride themselves on accountability, diversity, teamwork and excellence. 

Job Summary
Our client is looking to hire a Junior Construction Estimator to join our growing team. A Junior Project Estimator works alongside a seasoned Estimator gaining knowledge of estimating and budgeting commercial construction projects. The candidate will be exposed to:

• Reading construction drawings
• Preparing detailed take-offs of all trades using On-Screen platform
• Preparing budgets (including conceptual budgets) from design drawings
• Assisting in bid process, learning differences between CM and GC bids, and preparing detailed bid packages to assure accurate and proper submissions/proposals by all subcontractors
• Leveling all subcontractor bids
• Develop vendor relationships

• College-educated
• Internet research abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to efficiently multi-task
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
