One of north San Diego's top commercial painting companies is looking to expand our team with enthusiastic professionals who take pride in their work.

We are seeking a seasoned Painting Estimator with experience in new commercial estimating to add to our team. Ability to project manage estimated work a plus.

Job Duties

o Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs with clear supporting back up for proposal

o Collaborate with project team, architects, contractors, and vendors on cost estimates. Use computer software and market rates to prepare, review and validate cost estimates

o Participate in hard bid/estimating and GMP budgeting review approval process

o Complete budgeting and scheduling for projects and track same.

o Ensure site personnel and superintendents are provided with proper documentation related to project in a timely manner

o Work with and deal with concerns of field personnel in a timely manner

o Manage job costs, change orders, RFI’s, and project communications to meet project profit goals

o Candidate must be a self-starter, able to meet company goals and deadlines and provide professional customer service to clients

Qualifications and Education Requirements

o Minimum 5 years of paint estimating experience in the US required

o Knowledge of commercial painting principles and application processes, and capable of reading plans/specifications

o Strong math and analytical skills

o Strong interpersonal and communication skills

o Ability to work in an office and in the field, follow procedures and meet deadlines

o Must be able to use MS Office Suite

o Proficient in estimating software, such as Plan Swift
