Summary
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a talented Sr. Electrical Engineer to support Federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects in Seattle, WA.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for federal, ports, and/or infrastructure projects.
Duties & Responsibilities

Pre-Design Engineering
-
Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports

Prepare electrical schematic designs
-

Design Engineering
-
Design power single line and riser diagrams
-
Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM
-
Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure
-
Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards
-
Apply National Electrical Code, Washington Codes, and Energy Standards in designing electrical systems
-
Coordinate with other disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural

Project Management
-
Manage multiple large-scale projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants

Provide mentorship to design engineers

Prepare client proposals independently

Develop business with new and existing clients

Construction Administration

Review and respond to RFIs
-
Review equipment submittals

Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports

Qualifications & Requirements
-
Education & Licenses
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Registered Professional Engineer license required

Experience
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design
-
Experience leading electrical design projects and teams
-
Experience performing QA/QC on electrical projects and mentoring engineers

Skills & Technical Knowledge
-
Demonstrated project management skills
-
Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM; Revit is a plus

Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
-
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, inquisitive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Must be a US Citizen
