Summary
Our client is a rapidly growing, highly respected electrical contractor in Southern California that is winning high-profile commercial and industrial projects across the region. They have built their reputation on execution, accountability, and field leadership—and they are looking for a proven Electrical Foreman who takes pride in running jobs, leading strong crews, and delivering results.
This is not a “babysitting” role. This is for a hands-on leader who owns their job site, drives production, and sets the tone for performance, safety, and quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of job site execution from rough-in through final completion
- Lead, motivate, and hold accountable field crews to meet aggressive production goals
- Break down drawings and specs into actionable work plans for crews
- Drive the schedule—identify bottlenecks early and keep the project moving forward
- Coordinate directly with Project Managers, GCs, and other trades to eliminate downtime and conflicts
- Enforce job site safety with zero tolerance for shortcuts or non-compliance
- Ensure all installations meet or exceed code, quality standards, and inspection requirements
- Manage manpower planning, material flow, and tool utilization to maximize efficiency
- Solve problems in real time—field conditions, design gaps, manpower challenges, etc.
- Train and develop apprentices and journeymen; build a strong, reliable crew
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with leadership on progress, risks, and needs
- Keep jobs clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction, with proven Foreman-level leadership
- Track record of successfully running projects and delivering them on time
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, installations, and job site sequencing
- Strong ability to read plans, anticipate issues, and execute without constant oversight
- Solid working knowledge of NEC and local codes
- Demonstrated ability to lead crews, command respect, and drive productivity
- Experience working on fast-paced projects with demanding schedules
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to reliably get to job sites
- Must be dependable, accountable, and take pride in your work
