Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead field operations for telecommunications construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing underground utility and telecom construction activities, managing field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is a seasoned field leader with a strong background in telecommunications infrastructure, underground utility work, and team leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily field operations for telecommunications and underground utility construction projects.

  • Lead and manage field crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources.

  • Coordinate project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.

  • Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, and material usage.

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, municipalities, utility providers, and other project stakeholders.

  • Resolve field issues, identify risks, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate project execution.

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers and office staff to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supervising telecommunications construction, underground utilities, or related infrastructure projects.

  • Proven experience managing field crews and subcontractors.

  • Strong understanding of underground utility installation, telecommunications infrastructure, and construction best practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and project specifications.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and field productivity.

  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
