Summary


Our client is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join their team in Anaheim, CA. With nearly a century of industry leadership, they are known for their commitment to safety, quality, and innovation. The company provides advanced BIM capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC expertise, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs across projects in San Diego, Los Angeles County, and Orange County. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct employee training, and promote a strong culture of safety on all job sites.

 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures at job sites and fabrication shops.

  • Lead New Hire Safety Orientation for all employees.

  • Conduct live training for Competent Persons (Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Trenching, etc.).

  • Document site safety inspections and keep records up to date.

  • Ensure safety programs and policies are consistently applied across all operations.

  • Investigate accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Provide on-site safety support during high-risk activities (e.g., crane operations).

  • Build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients by demonstrating a proactive commitment to safety.

  • Lead by example, coaching and mentoring employees to foster a safe workplace culture.

  • Collaborate with the Company Loss Control Team and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Minimum 5 years of safety experience in construction; 3–5 years preferred in large commercial or industrial projects.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to handle confidential information.

  • OSHA 500 Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
